A lifelong athlete and leader, Brianne has spent decades in the competitive world of college athletics: as a high-performing hockey player, respected coach, and seasoned athletic administrator. But behind the accolades is a woman who spent years carrying silent hopes and inner truths. Her debut memoir pulls back the curtain on that inner world: an honest, vulnerable exploration of identity, pressure, and the courage it takes to finally unlock what’s been kept inside. Through her story, she invites others to consider what they’ve buried, and what might happen if they dared to share it.
Beliefs
At Authentically Brianne, I believe in creating spaces where authenticity is not only welcomed - it’s celebrated. Real change begins with real conversations, and my mission is to shift the culture of sports by championing inclusion, belonging, and radical acceptance.
Through my work, I aim to rewrite the narrative around gender identity in athletics- because every trans person, no matter their age, deserves to feel seen, heard, and safe in sport. I want young trans people to know they have a future filled with joy, purpose, and pride. A future where coming out isn’t an act of bravery but one of belonging.
Because at the heart of it all, I believe in a world where trans kids grow into trans adults, and trans adults grow old - thriving, celebrated, and unapologetically themselves.
